About Cathy Miller Rex

Cathy Rex has been working with BNI since 1996. She started as a member in Nashville and assisted with chapters in middle Tennessee. In 2002 she moved to Atlanta and began working for Referrals4Life as a BNI Area Director. She’s been the Managing Area Director for Georgia since 2005.

Born and raised in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, which is just outside Nashville, Cathy has a background in marketing and international relations.  She has also been a partner in a document processing company in the real estate industry.

She works with a large team of  Ambassadors and Directors to insure the success of the BNI system for its members. Cathy is proud that her team has taken the average chapter size from 17 members per chapter to 22 members per chapter over the last three years, besting the national average chapter size of 20.

When she is not helping people through word of mouth marketing, she enjoys her FOUR AND TWO-legged children. Cathy loves running and hiking with her 3 dogs and also enjoys chasing after her daughter, Sabrina. Having once owned her own catering and gift basket company, Cathy still enjoys cooking and entertaining. She also loves to experience people through travel. Sabrina has already traveled to 19 states and two countries with Mommy.

Cathy currently owns a carpet cleaning business that she and her brother operate called, Carpet Dryclean, which is a perfect fit for BNI. She says her day is not complete until she helps someone see a “light bulb” go off when it comes to developing their referral marketing plan.
